This juvenile Yellow-crowned Night Heron was chasing a grasshopper
and found herself tangled in a spider's web!

She quickly turned around and stared at her mother, who was watching from a nearby tree.
As if reminding her teenage daughter that "You should've been looking where you
were going!" the mother flew away.
And how refreshing the touch of cool waters are on a hot day
or the warmth of the sun caressing your back.

Though it's impossible to actually "hear" pictures...certain visuals ring through loudly to me.

hosts numerous varieties of birds. Due to the high numbers, their nests are practically
stacked on top of each other. The babies start arriving about the same time the
