morning sunlight filtering down through the trees...
a smiling scarecrow with a hat full of leaves;
a red-shouldered hawk with his mouth open wide...
a double crested cormorant with wings outstretched by her side;
a killdeer and mallard stuck in the mire...
an American Kestrel perched high on a wire;
a flock of white pelicans taking to the sky...
and one left behind due to wings not yet dry;
a red-winged blackbird taking an afternoon rest...
a great egret watching over her babies in their nest;
beautiful butterflies with an intricate design...
watching an osprey while on his fish dinner did dine;
woodpeckers...
red birds...
black birds...
playful raccoons...
and gators, too;
ruddy turnstones...
oyster catchers...
sitting gulls in the sand;
yellow racers...
black-necked stilts prancing in the water...
and preening on dry land;
ruddy turnstones...

sitting gulls in the sand;
black-necked stilts prancing in the water...
and preening on dry land;
bright orange
and green eyes...
long,
sharp,
pointy beaks...
silhouettes,
full moons,
and four-toed feet!
These are just a few of God's creations that I am thankful for having the opportunity and
privilege of experiencing first-hand and capturing through the camera lens. I'm also VERY
blessed and thankful to have YOU to share the wonders of nature with.
And just in case you're wondering why this post is a week after Thanksigiving...
it's because I had yet ANOTHER computer glitch...so I'm also thankful that as of this
moment everything is running smoothly! Hope we get to meet again next week!
