The sun failed to shine at ALL this weekend...but it didn't keep me from exploring some
uninhabited country areas nearby where I was not disappointed in the misty morning hours.
Red shouldered hawk trying to locate breakfast through the fog.
Another hawk seeking what little refuge there was from the mist.
A lazy bull unbothered by the crummy weather.
A friendly donkey.
A tree full of buzzards...
one which was camera shy!
And a sparrow snuggled in a tree.
So we then decided to drive to our usual White Rock locations which rendered
flying ducks...one...
two...
and a small flock!
Geese proudly displaying
their wings and
others enjoying a morning bath.
A tree void of leaves, birds or squirrels.
A lone pelican drifting around...seemingly deep in thought
while another shows off his contortionist skills!
So in spite of the missing sun...
all in way it was a pleasant day and the animals didn't disappoint!
